Four numbers, published lines, small-shop maths

Violations feel random; metrics are not. TikTok publishes the target for each of its four core fulfillment metrics — and, for late dispatch, the higher line where enforcement may begin. Here they are together, with the order-by-order arithmetic TikTok never does for you.

The clocks underneath the metrics

An order must be marked In Transit — a carrier scan, not a printed label — within 2 business days of Awaiting Shipment. If it is not at Awaiting Collection within 5 business days, TikTok auto-cancels it. Delivered means within 6 business days. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and US federal holidays. If more than 10% of orders blow the dispatch deadline, TikTok says additional enforcement may follow.

Why small shops breach first

Rates do not care that you are new. At 40 orders, four late dispatches is 10%. At 12 orders, one seller-fault cancellation is 8.3% against a 2.5% limit. The checker on the home page does this maths from your own numbers — orders, late rate, cancellation rate — and tells you how many more mistakes you can afford. That number, not the percentage, is what a small shop should manage to.

The cliff nobody warns about

Separate from the rates: a cancellation rate of 90% or higher over 30 or more days can bring temporary suspension or permanent deactivation. It reads absurd until a listing error auto-cancels a small shop's entire order book at once.

Your fulfillment choice changes your exposure

Since Seller Shipping ended in March 2026, US orders move through TikTok logistics paths — and the exemptions follow the path: FBT orders are exempt from LDR, VTR and OTDR; TikTok Shipping orders are exempt from VTR. The same late order can count or not count depending on the lane it shipped in. Choose the lane knowing which numbers it can hurt.

The published lines

Questions sellers ask

Which metric appeals does TikTok actually hear?

Narrow ones. For tracking: essentially buyer-confirmed receipt or a logistics integration error. For late dispatch: duplicate enforcement, TikTok's own miscategorization, warehouse disruption beyond your control, platform system issues. Everything else is fixed operationally — routine, quiz, and time.

Where do I see my rates?

Seller Center shows them on the Shop Health / performance pages, calculated over rolling windows — LDR and SFCR over your recent dispatched orders, OTDR weekly Monday to Sunday.
